Rebranding of Karimoku New Standard 2018

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, Karimoku New Standard has reimagined its visual identity, including the brand logo, catalogues and website. Tokyo based graphic designer Rikako Nagashima (village®), who is well-known for her innovative and uncompromising, if not radical, design was assigned to the project. The new design accounts for the rapid development and growth of the collection during the past 10 years, and positions the brand for the coming decade.

David Glaettli/GDD’s art direction for this visual identity update involved the selection and briefing of the graphic designer, definition of the interface and contents , selection of images and texts, concept design for the photo-shooting of the interior scenes and the selection and direction of the collaborating photographer.
